About the event
Neurodiversity is a human reality that is increasingly visible in today’s workforce. As autism awareness grows, and more employees identify as neurodiverse, leaders are being asked to navigate communication differences, sensory needs, social expectations, and workplace accommodation requests with greater confidence and skill.
This engaging, practical session introduces participants to autism and neurodiversity through a strengths-based, equity-informed lens using real examples, interactive reflection, and workplace scenarios. Participants will explore how common workplace practices unintentionally create barriers for neurodivergent employees – and how small, intentional adjustments in communication, scheduling, and environment can significantly improve psychological safety, engagement, and performance for everyone.
Grounded in an internationally recognized model and aligned with Canada’s Autism Strategy and Disability Inclusion Action Plan, this session is hosted by Autism@Work. helps participants move beyond awareness into practical, transferable inclusion competencies that support talent attraction, retention, and workforce sustainability.
